Its been awhile since I’ve written anything. In part this is because there has been a lot going on personally, and there has been a lot of action in the news and my tendency is to play it conservatively and absorb as much information as possible before rendering an opinion. So, here are the things I’m tracking which are at the center of my interest:
- The paradox of tolerance
- Macro policy with respect to Federal Reserve action(or lack thereof)
- Congressional investigations
- Stadium security policy
- Unemployment and inflation
Despite the sort of cavalier attitude many news outlets have held concerning some of these topics, I do think that we are entering an era of fundamental change in the economy, or at the very least we are seeing a transitional era which will change the way we think about labor’s relationship with the economy.
