We shouldn’t be surprised that Florida and Arizona have a darker blend. Maine and West Virginia are surprising in that we don’t consider them retirement destinations.
What this chart should do, is inform state representatives of their retirement obligations, as well as how their workforce is aging. Even if your state is a retirement destination, you would still assume that workers should counter-balance the aging population. How does your state fare?
