As many of you know, I have been writing for The Minnesota Reformer these last few months. I appreciate deeply those who follow my blog and I must admit that I have spent a far greater deal of energy on my Reformer writing than this blog.
That said, for those of you who are interested in economic policy and its current goings-on, I will be attempting to write an analysis blog each week on the current state of the Minneapolis fed, as well as general market trends.
What particularly interests me at this point in time is the effect of the presidential debate timeline on the market. There is a confluence of four main economic drivers:
1.the presidential campaign
2.Covid-19 and corresponding fiscal policy
3. Fed and monetary policy
4.Exchange reaction
Given the recent market dip of the tech sector, a prudent economist would place this phenomena within the larger context of the prior three economic drivers. I will continue this analysis in the coming weeks.
